What Is Insurance

An arrangement by which a company undertakes to provide a guarantee of compensation for specified loss,damage,illness,or death in return for payment of a specified premium.

What Is Insurance Policy?

A document provided by the company detailing the terms and conditions of a contract of insurance with the stakeholders.

Why Is Insurance Important?

The contract of insurance works on the 'principle of transfer of financial risk from the insured to the insurer'. As an insured, you pay premiums to receive compensation from the insurer, in case of occurrence of an unforeseen event. So, having insurance reduces the financial burden on your shoulders.

We at leopards believe in providing all possible comfort and best customer experience to our valued clients. Offering customers the provision to opt insurance on the goods they want to courier is another value added feature to cover any unforeseen loss to reduce the financial burden from the shoulders of customers.

Shipments That Cannot Be Insured:

Glass.
Wooden polished furniture.
Drawings/Art works.
Liquid.

Terms & Conditions:

Shipper should be educated by Retail team to ask Consignee to check the shipment at the time of delivery in the presence of delivery Leopards. (Only For Insured Shipments having insurance sticker on it)
Claim should be raised on the same day of delivery.
Claim will be paid either on declared value or market value of the same product whichever is less.
Claim amount will be decided by Claim department after having thorough study of the case and negotiation with the shipper.
Claim of all insured shipments shall be paid within 7 days once the case is registered.
Insurance sticker should be pasted or Insured shipment shall be written clearly on the shipment.
Company will not be responsible for any loss because of the delay in service occurred through uncontrollable factors or Act of God such as earthquake, floods etc.

Non-Insured Shipment Policy:

Staff has to make sure that every customer is pitched about our insurance policy.
Actual declared value after inquiring from customer shall be entered.
No self-assessed declared value shall be entered at any cost.
Actual content of the shipment shall be mentioned.
Signature of shipper must be taken on each consignment note.
“On shipper risk” shall be mentioned on each consignment note.
For non-insured shipment in case of damage, lost, theft as per Postal act Leopards will be only liable to pay Rs. 100/kg.
